Snow much to talk about!

This is the view out my office window. I've been super productive this morning and I'm going to keep plugging away in hopes that they close the college early! We don't 'do' snow in CenTex. It scares us. Ben's school is having early release at 12:45, AND a late start tomorrow! I'm keeping my fingers crossed the closest ISD makes the same decision as our college follows their closing decisions. I'm envisioning a fire, a snowball fight and hot chocolate with the BBs if I get my way!

Here's my department outside enjoying the snow!

And in the time it took me to post this the local school district AND the military base have closed down, I'm just waiting for the email saying we've been released. Adios :)

Betsy's first ice cream cone

Betsy had her first ice cream experience this weekend, it was a dip cone from Dairy Queen AND Granny, Grandbuddy and my Nana watched the magic on webcam. She enjoyed it!

How I spent my Friday afternoon

This morning I was at a loss for what to do with myself until 2 O'clock when Betsy would wake from her nap and I could pick her up from daycare. I went to Hobby Lobby and played around with lots of different frames and layouts because I've wanted to do a picture grouping FOREVER. I wanted my Mom here so bad, she would be great at this! Oh well, I'm pleased with how it turned out. And I love that we *finally* have some personalization in our house. I love it so much I might try to do a second one somewhere in our house. Also! I ordered our entertainment unit today. It'll be here in 7-10 business days. I've been thinking about doing this for oh, about two years now :)

Betsy and Maddie

Betsy has too much fun playing with Madison. Listen to these sweet giggles!

Mom confession

While away from her during the day I miss Betsy but I think I appreciate my time with her so much in the evenings. This week I've missed her more than usual and I've had to fight the urge to bring her in bed to cuddle with me. Last night I gave in, I scooped up the sleeping sweetie and we snuggled for an hour or so until Ben got home from his second game and came to bed. Does Betsy cry to come in our bed? No. Do I get bummed out and want her in bed with me? Sometimes.

P.S. I'm fully aware I'm lucky to have such a good sleeper and should enjoy the space in the bed (that Madison doesn't take up anyways).

Watching BB coach soccer

Last night Ben's soccer team played their rival. The weather being warmer than it's been all season I got the OK from my boss to leave 30 minutes early and Betsy and I made it to the field to watch Ben coach!

Betsy was good, she spent about 1/2 the game in her stroller (we went off-roading in the Maclaren to get to Ben's sideline). The other half she kept trying to 'talk' to DA DA DAD DADDY DA while he was coaching his team. He was hysterical, yelling instructions to his team and slipping in a 'Hi baby!' to Betsy every now and then.

All three soccer teams won last night, and Ben's team won 2-0. They looked great and controlled the ball the whole game. I would say the ball stayed on the side of the opposing team's goal 90% of the time. Here are some pictures from last night.

This is how Betsy attended soccer games last year...

What a difference a year makes! She ran up and down the length of the sidelines 'warming up' like the boys coming from the bench to the field would.

Not yet ready for Gatorade, Betsy the cheerleader quenched her thirst the old fashioned way, with milk.

Valentine's Party Pictures

Friday afternoon Betsy's class had a party, which consisted primarily of getting to eat a cookie then run around and play. Here are the pictures. Also, at one point I sat in a corner to take pictures and I was ambushed by babies wanting a story read to them. It was OK for about an hour until Betsy realized other people were sitting on HER Mommy. At that point we went home.
