Happy Mother's Day
What a wonderful day! This Mother's Day has been the best I could have asked for. My Mom is in town to celebrate the weekend with us! We had a great time last night, grilling baby back ribs, chicken, and all the delishious fixings. My in-laws, my Uncle Bo's family and some of our friends came over to celebrate.
Friday I worked my normal 7:30 to 11:30 schedule and came home to the most wonderful surprise! My mom and dad surprised me with a new porch swing and Ben and his Dad were hanging it up as I arrived. Also, my mom took care of Father's day for Ben and bought the coolest light up cooler (which we used when everyone came over last night). To add to the atmosphere of relaxation on the back porch my mother and father-in-law gave me a beautiful windchime which we hung on the back porch. I love it, I find the sound so relaxing.
And FINALLY my BIGGEST Mother's Day surprise, was BETSY'S FIRST TOOTH!! This morning we sat uploading pictures and Betsy kept guiding Granny's hand to her mouth where she discovered *gasp* THE TOOTH. Of course pictures of the little tooth aren't possible yet. But as soon as I get Bets asleep I endeavor to document it on film.
Here are a few pictures from the weekend. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!

Before and After
Ben's Lasik surgery this morning was a success. He was a nervous little guy, clammy hands, heavy breathing...and it didn't help that he watched a couple surgeries in the waiting room on the big screen before his surgery (and his Valium). It went great, the doctor said his eyes look good. He has a follow up appointment in the morning. He is required to wear goggles for the first 24 hours post surgery (and to bed for five nights) and I have deemed him Ben-bug. I told him Betsy will probably be scared of him and ask me to get the fly swatter out (haha).
Ben was so funny. He told me thank you several times for driving him (2 miles from our house) to get the surgery. Hey, it's the least I could do. After he's been to the hospital oh, five or six times with me in the last six months. And he kept saying "I can't believe I really did it!" What a cutie pie.
I got him tucked into bed, a book on CD ready for when he wakes up, and lunch made on his nightstand before I headed to work. He said he's not in pain but he asked me to call him and remind him what eye drops he needs to use since he was pretty much incoherent when we left the doctor's office.
I'll post a real *after* picture in the next couple of days.

What's Happening.
Quick Bralley Update:
- Football season is back. Spring training means Ben doesn't get home until 6:15ish. The good news is he has just a few weeks of school left until he is off for the summer!
- Ben's getting Lasik tomorrow morning at 8:25 am. He is SO. EXCITED. I'm really excited for him too. With all his swimming, fishing, hunting, coaching and movie watching life without glasses will be wonderful!
- My Mom is visiting tomorrow night! She'll spend a nice 3 days and 4 nights with us, I am so excited about it! So is Betsy.
- Betsy has become an eating champ! She's eating her five 7 oz bottles a day, and her fruit and veggie at night as well as rice cereal. She is sleeping better than ever, I suspect due to her tummy full of food and milkshake. She's so strong, standing up, she kind of sits up on her own (doing pull ups on her playgym). Ben and I can't keep our hands off of her, she's so smiley and cuddly.
- Maddie is cuter than ever. She's become such a snuggle bunny lately!
That's about it, have a good week everybody!

Surprise trip to Georgia
Betsy and I surprised my Mom in Atlanta this weekend to celebrate her birthday. It was wonderful, both my parents, my sister, myself and Betsy being together. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
SURPRISE! Granny, we're here!
