I really wish I knew how to turn this right side up. Can anybody tell me how?!
Well, tilt your head to the left and watch Betsy enjoy her jumperoo.

Fantastic Friday
What a wonderful day! As you can imagine I have a long to do list to prepare for lots of out of town company coming in and the big soiree happening at casa de Bralley on Sunday. I got so much done today!! My Aunt Nancy is in town, I haven't seen her in YEARS so she came over with my Uncle Bo and two cousins.
So, the house has been cleaned (even the refrigerator, one of my most dreaded chores!) and I baked the two cakes I needed to get started for Sunday.
Anyhow, Cynthia (cousin) brought over Isaiah (my first-cousin-once-removed). He and Bets had a photo shoot. Isaiah is SO STINKING CUTE! He's a big boy, and he's 3 weeks younger than Betsy! You just want to pinch his cheeks... but I digress.
We all had a fun time hanging out. Enjoy the baby pics.
Sweet 'little' Isaiah:

Betsy and Isaiah

Gotta run! Betsy is swaddled and napping in her swing, I need to hurry up and mop the house before Ben gets home. OH! And his teams both won tonight, JV 10-0 and I don't know about Varsity yet but I'm willing to bet it's a similar point spread.

What's in a name?
Inspired by my friends Miranda and Webby (hey girls!) I'm going to share with you a little secret. Though our daughter may be named Elizabeth Jane B. we have yet to call her that, even once. This weekend when we baptize her I'm debating between her given name (Elizabeth Jane) or her most common nickname (Snoogle Bear). Somehow since both her name sakes (her grandmothers) will be present I think she actually *will* be baptised with her given, Christian name.
Here is a compiled list of nicknames we use for the kiddo:
Betsy
Betserman (inspired by Ben's nickname, Benerman. I'm Shanerman, and Maddie is Madderman.)
Betserface
Ninnieface (because honestly, the girl has a ninnie glued to her mouth 70% of the time)
Nauzerbaby (inspired by her being Madison's sister)
Bohiney (while getting a bath, espcially cute when said in Ben's high pitched baby talk voice)
Stinkerman (during diaper changes)
Snoogle (because I slept with the snoogle pregnancy pillow for 7 months)
Snoogle bear
Snooglepuss
little Ben (my Mom calls her this, because she's her Daddy's twin!)
EJ
EB (inspired by Raymond Hamden)
BetsyBear (inspired by her bear costume she wore home from the hospital)
Bear
BFF (this is mine, she's my best-friend-forver. or until she's a teenager.)
Princess Betsy (just my Dad calls her this)
little bit (grandbo calls her this)
I'm sure this doesn't seem very interesting, but other new mothers can relate. And if you don't have a baby yet and you think...I'd NEVER call my kid some of those things...never say never. You too will become this sappy.

Betsy O'Bralley: St. Patty's Day Princess
I took a few pics in the back yard today, here are my favorites. P.S. I made Betsy this tutu out of 2 yards of tulle. They are super easy and I think it turned out pretty sweet.

This is Maddie sniffing Betsy's foot, and wondering what in the world Betsy is wearing.

This is Betsy's foot surrounded by tulle.

Did I just see that?!
I'm home with the baby who has been throwing up a lot, and she kept *almost* rolling over. Finally I see her go from flat on her stomach to half way on her side. I grabbed the camera and got the rest of "the roll" on film! What a big girl!!
Sick babies
Betsy is kind of sickly today. Starting last night she's been spitting up after every feeding, very unusual considering she hardly spits up at all. Keep our sweet girl in your thoughts.

Man-oh-man
We had a busy weekend. I'm just going to list the things we did because I can keep track of it better that way.
Friday
- Picked up Betsy
- Went to Ross to look for glass pitchers, line was too long so I didn't get anything
- Went to Hobby Lobby to get votives, fish bowls for centerpieces, extra chargers
- Walmart for toothpaste, trashbags, extra bottles, etc
- Ben cooked a great dinner
- Went to AT&T to renew cell phone contract and replace phones (since mine had died a sad death that morning)
Saturday
- Ben went to Bryan for soccer games from 6 am until about 3 pm
- Target (formula, possible dress for Baptism, wedding gift)
- James Avery to pick up a gift
- Moved piles of baby stuff from dining room to office (we now can't open the door)
- Set up tables and chairs in dining room
- Went to dinner with friends, then hung out at their house for pina coladas and Wii night
Sunday
- Headed to Waco to meet Megan and her maybe-boyfriend Aditya, lunch at Chilis
- Went Marshalls in Waco (picked up the pitchers I needed for brunch)
- Went to Marshalls in Temple (found a dress for Baptism and a couple books for Betsy)
- Went to Ross (bought extra dishes that look similar to my china to use for brunch)
- Came home, Ben and Betsy napped
- Shan to Target to get extra chairs we needed
- Picked up $5 foot longs for dinner (and my lunch today!)
- Watched a movie netflicks-on-demand
- Got out my table cloths and cloth napkins and ironed for a couple hours :/
- Set one of the tables for brunch
- Washed the 8 new place settings, pitchers, and fishbowls
- baked brownies
- read Betsy one of her new books (called Cuddle!), bath, bottle and bed
The best parts were: seeing Megan! hanging out with our friends John and Laura and their family (they have three GREAT kids), getting ready for a busy weekend next week!
