Clearing out sewing stock, part 1

Blog friends, I would love your help! In an effort to consolidate our guest room and office into one room (and make space for our new little one!) I'm trying to cut my sewing stock in half and condense it all into one small closet. As a result I'm going to have a 'sewing sale' that is several parts (look for more posts in the next few days).

This is part one, towels, bath robes, hankies, and similar items. I'm going to post prices to give you an idea of what to expect. The prices listed WILL include your choice of embroidering but won't include shipping (so if you are local that's the price you pay!) if it needs to be mailed it would likely cost a little more.

Please feel free to pass the blog address on to other people you think would be interested in these items. Thanks so much for your time and I hope you find something you like!

Bath towels

I have two sets of these beige towels. They are really plush. The set includes a bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth. Each set will be sold for $25 each and include embroidery on the bath towel and hand towel.

I have one set of sage green bath towels. Price is $25 for all three pieces, including embroidering on the bath towel and hand towel.

Kitchen towels, these make a great addition to a kitchen themed gift basket.

These kitchen towels are $3 per towel including the embroidering. I have a sew of three of the yellow and blue available, and I have five of the cranberry colored towels available.

'

This dish cloth and kitchen towel set will cost $8.

These kitchen towels come in sets of three, yellow, blue and black are available. They cost $10 per set.

These oven mitt sets make cute gifts, especially when paired with a spatula and mixing bowls! Each set costs $8 and I'll embroider the pot holders.

These towel wraps are 'one size fits all'. With embroidering I'll sell them for $8 each. If you want to order all three I'll sell them for $20.

These towel wraps are size s/m, I have three in stock. I think they'd make a great gift for a teen. I'll be selling these for $15 each.

I have lots of these lace hankies, that make great family gifts for weddings, mothers day, etc. I will sell these for $7 each.

Decorative bath towel and finger tip towels. I'll sell these for $3 each.

Have a great day, happy shopping!

Good Morning Mom and Dad!

The past two mornings Betsy has walked into our room to wake us up. Sunday she walked around to Ben's side, said "Da!" and pointed that she wanted up in bed. This morning she walked in, patted my knee that was sticking out of the covers and I pulled her into bed with me. She immediately began giving me kisses (the wide open mouth slobbery kind). She's such a morning person, she's in a happy mood, with a big smile and 'hugs for Daddy' and 'kisses for Mommy'. It's hard for us not to be in a good mood with that kind of wake up call. I hope you all started the week as sweetly as we did :)

Weekend Betsy pictures

Though the weather was yucky (or as Betsy says 'uck!') the big girl insisted on going outside to walk in the grass yesterday. She walks to the garage door, stands on tippy toes reaching for the door handle. When she realizes she can't reach she looks over her shoulder at me and shoots me a 'withering glare' in an effort to get me to hurry up and take her outside. I tend to do what she wants.

As Betsy now sprints everywhere (including toward the street) we quickly moved to the back yard where she could roam without the interference of automobile traffic.

What animated faces she makes!

I couldn't help but take a picture of the thunder thighs. With Ben and myself as parents there is little-to-no chance she'll have long, thin legs.
These two girls are best friends these days.

And finally, Bets found the gloves Ben uses while working in the yard and she put them on to walk around acting like Daddy.
After our picture shoot Betsy insisted on playing dress up. She would pick something out and sit in my lap until I helped her put it on. I think she wore all of her 10+ pairs of shoes yesterday, and five outfits.

Another little thing, Ben and I noticed this weekend Betsy has been having a rash. I think it's from her antibiotic that we give her in the morning before school. It would make sense that we didn't notice it until Saturday since she's at school after getting her medicine. Is that what it looks like to you? It's either the antibiotic or Betsy is allergic to green stuff (grass, trees, etc) like her Mama.

Am I glowing?

I know I should wait until I'm further along, but by gosh, I want to blog about it! Our family is growing, I'm glowing, do you know what this means?!

BABY B 2.0 is on the way!!

I'm due December 10th, so I'm just five weeks along but I keep thinking about pregnancy stuff I want to blog about so I'm ignoring all the rules about 'waiting until the second trimester' and telling yall now. We are SO excited, we didn't think it would happen so fast but God is good, and Betsy is going to be a big sister just around her second birthday.

I'm feeling pretty great. No morning sickness yet. I've been taking my prenatal vitamins so while I'm going to bed earlier I'm not too tired during the day. I've been eating healthy. My super-sonic smelling is here. I can smell a dab of relish from about a hundred yards away.

And OH! the emotions. Not so much mood swings, but my emotions are so intense. Both being happy (like last night when all of us were in Betsy's room and we were rocking and singing Jesus loves me, and Betsy was patting Maddie and I burst into sobs of joy...and Ben just shook his head and patted my shoulder) and the irritability (like Tuesday night when Maddie accidentally jumped on the remote control, changing the chanel, and I lost my place on DVRd the Biggest Loser and somehow I felt it was BEN's fault so I was grinding my teeth and sending sideways dirty looks his way). Poor Ben. He doesn't know what to think of my craziness.

I'll keep yall updated, our first ultrasound will be in about two weeks!

Ear Update!

The date is set, Betsy is having tubes put in her ears April 26th. Let's hope this solves all our problems, ear infections, sinus issues, world peace, etc.

Deja Vu

Today Betsy was a little cranky at daycare, and was tugging at her ear. When my SIL Mary picked up William and heard this about Betsy she called me at work to let me know. Luckily our provider fitted us in for a doctor appointment at 5 and we learned Betsy has two ear infections. The doctor gave Bets an antibiotic shot and an oral prescription (and two stickers and a mickey mouse band aid).

I'm sure Betsy will feel better in a couple of days, but now I'm wondering if we should 'make the call' and get tubes in Betsy's ears. Friday we saw the ENT doctor who wrote the script for surgery we just have to call and schedule the appointment if we want to get it done. I'm a little torn on if we should do the surgery now or not. The tubes typically stay in for 9-12 months. During the summer kids usually have less ear infections so there is a chance Betsy won't have so many issues in the coming months. If we do have the surgery we have to be very careful to not get water in Betsy's ears (which will be an issue in the summer as Grandma and Grandpa have a pool).

Another concern of mine is that children who have ear issues sometimes are less verbal as they don't hear as well what others are saying. I don't want this to delay Betsy's verbal development.

This is something to think about. Get the tubes now? Get the tubes in September once summer and swimming are over? Decisions!

Church Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday morning our clan headed to the church's annual Easter Egg Hunt. It was great, and Betsy and Will used strategy and stealth to obtain as many eggs as possible. Betsy's homemade dress and cowboy boots were a big hit too!
