Blonds have more fun.

I never imagined I would have a blond baby. Never Never Never Never Never. I know Ben was a fair headed child (and he still considers himself to have dark blond hair-*snort*) but I just assumed our child would have the more dominant feature of darker hair. I think my Mom is as tickled by this as I am. Every time we webcam she remarks on how blond Betsy is looking. Anyhow, I think she's beautiful, healthy and adorable. No matter what color hair she has!

New pictures of the *mostly naked* blond baby.

For my reference

As much as I enjoy blogging for our family and friends to keep up with what's happening in the B family, I also use the blog to keep track of Betsy stats and info. Like when she moved from size 1 diapers to size 2 (4 months old). And how much she's eating at each age.

Just so I can keep track, these are the foods Betsy has tried (and liked!) up to this point. She's eating at least 35 ounces per day. 5 seven ounce bottles. And she's eating a half container of veggie and a half container of a fruit every night. And she's pretty much mastered the spoon. She's SUCH a good eater for Mommy at night and Ben just needs a little practice. It's all about how much food we put on the spoon and how long you leave the spoon in her mouth. You wouldn't think feeding a baby would be hard, and it's not, but she responds better to some methods than others.

Apples
Peaches
Bananas
Carrotts
Green Beans

I think tonight we may try squash and pears. Nom Nom.

Happy Brithday Granny and Aunt Mary!

I hope you guys have a wonderful birthday. We love you very much and hope to see you soon!!

Betsy weekend pics

Say Cheese.

Betsy had her first professional pictures done Friday. Sorry, I didn't buy enough pictures to get the pictures on CD, so you'll have to settle for a picture of a picture. Here they are!

It's a grill!

You read that right. Ben's birthday celebration Thursday extended to Friday because his birthday present was ready for pick-up! We bought a Webber gas grill and WE LOVE IT. Friday night we made Bratwurst on the grill. Saturday night Ben made fantastic steak. Here's Ben posing with his new toy.

Happy Friday

A few pictures from yesterday and this morning. Ben's 29th birthday celebration last night, scrap booking stuff and pictures of the sweet girl.

HEY GRANNY-GRANNY! Hey Nancy! Hey Charlie and Niki! I made my Mom promise to come on and read the blog this morning with my aunts and uncle.

This picture is CLASSIC. If you've ever seen my Ben impression I push my fake glasses up my nose because his always seem to be falling down. Well since Ben is getting LASIK in two weeks this may be the last "pushing the glasses back on the bridge of the nose" picture I get.

The birthday cake. It says "29 and holding" and there's a little guy holding on to the number. Get it?

Blowing out the candle. No, not 29 candles, we're a little sensitive to open flames in our house.

St.Patty's Day scrap book pages

Because Betsy wanted extra attention last night, this is how I left my kitchen table, yikes!

Betsy and her Daddy.

Ignore my lack of cosmetics. I'm make-up free in this one.

Thank heaven.

A few pictures of the sweet girl this week:

Here are a couple pictures of the wall quote I added above Betsy's crib. It was more difficult than expected due to the heavy texture on our walls.

Walk in this world

A friend of mine, Erin, is doing an online bake sale and auction benefiting cancer research and awareness. I have a few embroidered items for auction, and I'm bidding on a couple items myself.

Check it out, bid if you'd like. It's a great cause!

New Hobby

I've decided to try my hand at scrap booking. I bought the basics at Hobby Lobby yesterday, and after Betsy's dinner of a milkshake and sweet potatoes (she loved them), and my dinner of a baked potato and green beans I made a few pictures.

I think they're ok for my first attempt, I'm sure I'll improve with time.

GA Tech Spring Game

For the family that make it to the blog and want some Lauren pictures, here are pictures of Laur and her sweetie Sean from the Georgia Tech spring football game this weekend. Sean was the starting center, and I'm sure his fantastic performance was partially due to the fantastic cheering little Lauren did on the sidelines. Enjoy the pics.

Weekend Pics

Long story short, Saturday I drove to Huntsville to see my sorority sisters for our chapter's 50th reunion. The resort was beautiful, and we had a great time. Ben did well being at home with Betsy. We're both SO glad that she's finally NOT sick anymore. She slept in her crib for the first time in a week and slept hard for 10 hours! 8 pm til 6:30 am. She sleeps better in her crib. Here are a few weekend pictures.
